THE SUN was about to set. The blazing orange hue of the evening had announced its arrival through the big wooden windows in the room. The thin beam of light kissed Ryan’s outstretched palm as he tried to hold on to it. The hourglass kept on the table seemed to mock him as he meditated on the grains of sand passing though the thin membrane: You don’t know what to do with time, do you? Ryan closed his eyes. There she was, again! He couldn’t help but break into a broad smile. He then remembered how things had been before he came to occupy this dreary room with white walls.
